The international economic environment has been marked in recent decades by profound and rapid changes. The fight against climate change requires countries around the world to adopt policies and implement measures that will lead them towards sustainable development. Cameroon is fully committed to this development approach and has made international commitments that structure and guide its internal development policies. One of the key strategies to achieve this goal is the use of renewable energy, with the aim of achieving 25% renewable energy in the country’s electricity mix as a contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 32% by 2035.

In the same vein, Cameroon is committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030, with SDG 7 aiming to ensure access to reliable, sustainable, and modern energy services for all at an affordable cost.
